In a creative class assignment, I was tasked with "retiring" the Volkswagen Beetle. After 75 years of service, the company has decided to stop production of the iconic bug. How does one encapsulate 75 years of reliability, affordability, and style into 4 measly print ads?

The solution? Drawing inspiration from the legendary Tom McElligot, I created effective and nostalgic ads that utilized conversational copy to thank consumers for "being with" Volkswagen these past 75 years and to inform them, gently, that their favorite Lemon is no longer in production.
